SIMPLE MICROSCOPE

Microscope

An instrument used to magnify small objects is known as Microscope.

Simple Microscope

A microscope made up of only one convex lens is known as simple microscope.

Position of Object

Object is placed inside the focus of convex lens.

Position of Image

Image is developed at near point that is 25cm.

Nature of Image

Image is virtual, erect, and magnified.

Derivation

Derivation of Simple Microsccope

Resolving Power

The ability of an instrument to distinguish between two objects that are closely placed is referred to as resolving power.

Conclusions

Magnification is inversely proportional to focal length. If the focal length increases, then the magnification decrease and vice versa. Focal length of thin lens is longer as of thick lens.
